WOAC Bloom ProgramsSince 1970, the Women of the American Church have sponsored Bloom
Where You’re Planted – How to Live in France. These seminars, designed
to assist English speaking new-comers to France, feature speakers & workshops on various
topics from food to fashion, healthcare to tourism, need-to-know subjects, and just plain
fun. Bloom helps with understanding cultural differences, creating a new life in
Paris, and getting connected with friends and organizations throughout Paris and the surrounding
areas. The current Bloom Where You’re Planted program is a two-day seminar
held each October. In 1998, Bloom While You Work was added to the Bloom repertoire. Bloom While You Work focuses on cultural differences in both work and daily life, and improving understanding of French culture. Bloom While You Work is a one-day program held in October and March each year. The Bloom book, Bloom Where You’re Planted, How to Live in France, is included with seminar registration or can be purchased separately. Since 1970, this invaluable book has been updated and reprinted annually and has become the “must have” book for all English speaking Expats in France.
